1. First, from the perspective of raw materials, it belongs to petroleum deep processing products
The source of calcined petroleum coke is crude oil. After crude oil is distilled to separate light and heavy oil, the heavy oil is then produced by thermal cracking process. After calcination at high temperature (1200-1350 ℃ or so), petroleum coke becomes calcined petroleum coke. Therefore, it is the product of oil after a series of processing and treatment, and it is the downstream product in the oil industry chain.
2. Second, from the point of view of product nature, it is a carbon product
The main component of calcined petroleum coke is carbon, and its carbon content is usually between 98% and 99.5%. It has the characteristics of high purity, low ash and low sulfur content, and is a high-quality carbon material. This high carbon content makes it of great application value in many industrial fields that require carbon sources or utilize carbon's special properties (such as electrical conductivity, high temperature resistance, etc.).
