Introduction
The neurotransmitter dopamine is widely distributed in the central nervous system, brain tissue and body fluids of mammals. Dopamine (DA) is one of the most important catecholamines and plays a key role in the central nervous system and kidney system. Dopamine secretion disorders in the body will lead to diseases such as heart disease, schizophrenia and Parkinson's disease. Dopamine hydrochloride has good water solubility, can enhance myocardial contractility, increase blood output, and is widely used in shock syndrome caused by myocardial infarction, trauma, endotoxin sepsis, heart surgery, renal failure, congestive heart failure, etc.
Applications
Dopamine hydrochloride can be used for various types of shock and hypotension. Including toxic shock, cardiogenic shock, hemorrhagic shock, central shock, especially for patients with renal insufficiency, reduced cardiac output, increased peripheral vascular resistance and blood volume supplementation. It can also treat heart failure and acute renal failure.
Pharmacological action
This product is a precursor of adrenaline synthesis in the body. It has β (mainly β1 receptor) receptor stimulating effect, α receptor stimulating effect, and can also promote the release of norepinephrine. It can enhance myocardial contractility, increase cardiac output, and accelerate heart rate with a milder effect (not as obvious as isoproterenol Chemicalbook); it can stimulate α receptors in tissues and blood vessels such as skin and muscle, causing blood vessels to contract and blood flow to decrease; it can stimulate dopamine receptors in visceral blood vessels (kidneys, mesentery, heart), causing them to dilate and increase blood flow. The change in total peripheral resistance is not obvious, but it is beneficial to improve the blood supply to important organs during shock.
